SKIN LAB · THREE GAME MODES. ONE LEARNING PATH.

Your skin.
Your next discovery.

Understand, question, apply: choose your game mode and try three questions without an account. Each checkpoint becomes more demanding.

WHERE WILL YOU START?

Three ways to understand skincare better.

01 · UNDERSTAND

Skin IQ

Skin knowledge for everyday use. From sunscreen to what a formulation actually tells you.

What to expect
Why can oily skin and dry cheeks occur together?
02 · QUESTION

Myth / Fact

One statement, your decision. Then learn the reasoning behind it and where its limits lie.

What to expect
Does an ingredient study prove the same effect for every finished serum?
03 · APPLY

Skin Battle

Make decisions in realistic everyday situations. Later, several factors matter at once — the case makes the difference.

What to expect
Two new products, one reaction: what can actually be attributed?

QUESTION IT. UNDERSTAND IT.

Six insights for your skincare routine.

Make a prediction, then check it: choose a topic, test your understanding and read the original source. Open to everyone, with no account or exam score.

Impressive in a lab. Proven on skin?

Open thought experiment +
An ingredient shows an effect in a cell experiment. What does that tell us about people?

Read explanation and source

Cells in a lab are not a human application. Relevant human studies matter. Check who was studied, what was measured and what comparison was used.

What you can do with this

For your next efficacy claim, first ask: What kind of study is this?

The same applies to our ingredients: a laboratory study alone does not establish the effect of a finished skincare product.

Still damp or already dry: when to moisturize?

Open thought experiment +
When does the AAD recommend applying moisturizer for dry skin after a shower?

Read explanation and source

Moisturizer can retain water in the skin. Applied to damp skin after showering, it helps limit evaporation.

What you can do with this

Review how you apply skincare before adding another product.

This is general moisturizer advice. Follow the instructions for your specific product and consider individual tolerance.

Burning is not proof of effectiveness

Open thought experiment +
A new cosmetic product burns. Does that mean it is working especially well?

Read explanation and source

The AAD advises stopping products that burn or sting; prescribed treatments need separate consideration. Introducing many products together can irritate skin.

What you can do with this

Do not simply apply more. Seek professional advice if symptoms persist.

Our skincare should not prove itself through burning either. A skin reaction is not a reason to buy a stronger product.

A wound and a scar need different care

Open thought experiment +
The area is still open. Is this the time for cosmetic scar care?

Read explanation and source

A scar remains after an injury has healed. The NHS recommends scar massage only once skin has fully healed. Wound care and later scar care are different steps.

What you can do with this

Before choosing a product, establish whether skin is fully closed and healed.

PROTECTING SCAR is intended for fully closed scarred skin, not open wounds. No disappearance of scars is promised.

A familiar ingredient is not product proof

Open thought experiment +
Two creams contain the same researched ingredient. Must they work identically?

Read explanation and source

EU criteria require adequate evidence when ingredient properties are attributed to a finished product. An ingredient list alone is insufficient.

What you can do with this

Look for evidence relating to the actual formulation and the specific claim.

Our ingredient explanations do not establish blanket efficacy for our finished products.

More nutrients do not automatically mean more benefit

Open thought experiment +
What matters before taking a supplement?

Read explanation and source

Supplements do not replace a varied diet. Some can interact with medicines. More is not automatically better.

What you can do with this

Compare daily portions and supplements you already take; ask a professional if you use medication.

RECOVERY MED+ is a food supplement, not a treatment for skin disease. Do not exceed the stated daily portion.
